NotesThe Muskoka Rock Tykes played a great first game to their season vs the Penetang Flames.
The scoring started quickly 10s into the first period, with Doug Loucks scoring unassisted. The second also came from Loucks, D assisted by Cooper Duggan at 8:07. Penetang would answer back at 4:05 with a goal of their own. After the first period Rock finds themselves ahead 2-1. The second period saw three goals between the two clubs as well resulting in a tie game 3-3 after two periods. Goal scored by Rock player Doug Loucks with assists going to Evan Retzler, Jacob Hughes, rewarding Loucks with his first hatrick of the season! Third period saw Penetang forge ahead with two goals early in the third to take the lead 5-3 after 3 1/2 minutes of play. Muskoka Rock wasn't done yet, Loucks D was hungry for the puck and netted another two at 4:23 and 4:06. Assists going to Jack Scott, Cooper Duggan, Evan Retzler and Abby Harder. In the last minute of play Brody Ellis broke away from the crowd towards the Penetang goaltender but was stopped by the goalie "using his head!" Great goaltending by Muskoka Rock's goaltender Jessie Loucks. Muskoka Rocks Tykes play Friday November 25th at 6:10pm at the South Muskoka Bears. Watch out Bears, we will, we will ROCK you!!
