Muskoka Rock Tykes are Coldwater Champs!
Muskoka Rock Tykes were 1 of 8 teams entered into the tournament on Saturday in Coldwater. They were the only team that came out with three straight wins and the A Championship trophies! Way to go Rock!
First opponent was Oro Thunder, with another strong showing by our team we took game 1 with an impressive 7-1 win. Game 2 had us facing off against the Midland Centennials, with awesome teamwork we once again took the victory with a 8-3 win and guaranteed us a spot in the A Championship at 7pm. Championship game we faced the Mariposa Lightening. Two very evenly skilled teams proved to be a great game right down to the final minute 2-2 tie when Muskoka Rock scored their final goal of the season with only 38 seconds remaining in the Championship game and then taking the win 3-2. Leaving the team with an impressive record on the season of 14 wins, 5 losses and 3 ties. Congratulations Tykes you should all be very proud on a great season!
